The Red Rhythm playing at Music in Suydam Park
Following two successful concert events last year, the BIA will again be hosting some free live acoustic musical performances at the small public stage in Suydam Park - Spadina Rd. at Coulson Ave.
On Saturday afternoons from 1 to 3pm throughout June (9-30th) and September (8-29th), weather-permitting, all are welcome to bring along a picnic blanket, grab a snack in the Village, and enjoy the beautiful acoustic sounds of some of Toronto’s finest musicians in our beautiful local park.
Back this year for much of June is the popular jazz ensemble, The Red Rhythm (pictured above), on the 9/16/23, along with Georgia & Jaash (violin and darbuka) on the 30th. September will again feature The Red Rhythm on the 8th, Ozere on September 15th, followed later by the young duo, and Canadian Folk Music Award winners, Moscow Apartment on the 22nd, with Tamar & Demetri (of Ventanas/Kuné - vocal/flamenco & oud) performing on September 29th.
