What's with the skinny yellow pylons?

You may have noticed and wondered about the new skinny yellow poles recently installed throughout the Village. These markers are in place for the winter season and have been positioned near our street furniture in an attempt to stop further expensive damage to our benches and planters caused in previous years by sidewalk snow plows doing their thing after large snowfall events.

Forest Hill Village Barber Shop Celebrates their 90th Anniversary!

The Forest Hill Village Barber Shop celebrated their 90th anniversary on October 1st, 2021 making them the longest running business in the Village.

The BIA board and fellow BIA members share their sincere congratulations to Terry and the rest of the fellows at the shop! 90 years of helping keep generations of boys and men well groomed and looking their best has made this shop a beloved community hub.

We wish the guys ongoing success and longevity in the neighbourhood - the Village just wouldn't be the same without them.

CafeTO is back & better than ever!

We are thrilled to once again have several local restaurants and cafes making use of the CafeTO on-street patio program! This economic recovery program was initiated & launched by the City of Toronto, in collaboration with local BIAs like ours, as a way to help struggling restaurants, bars, and cafes recover some of what has been lost due to the extensive indoor dining closures during COVID.

This year, the BIA worked with our participating members to design and build more robust and attractive fencing that looks great, and feels more protective.

Our Public Parklet is moving to a new spot!

The very popular on-street public parklet that has been located near the NE corner of Spadina Rd. and Lonsdale will soon be relocated to the SW side of the Village. A new location was selected in order to share the parklet, and in order to make space for the forthcoming on-street outdoor dining CaféTO curb side cafe installations, the City's economic recovery initiative for restaurants.

The Village will have more outdoor dining and seating space than ever this summer!
